J.T. Sterle Plays His New Yamaha Grand

Congratulations to J.T. Sterle on his new Yamaha GB1 grand piano! 

After honing his skills for several years on a Yamaha Clavinova digital piano, 9 year old pianist J.T. Sterle selected his very own Yamaha DGB1 grand piano. Here he plays four great pieces for us on his new piano before the piano was delivered to his home. Thanks J.T., we hope your new piano inspires you for a lifetime of music!

UPDATE: J.T. Takes Runner Up at Young Chopin Competition!

Congratulations to J.T. Sterle, who, after practicing only about 6 months on his new Yamaha GB1 grand piano, placed "Runner Up" at the prestigious 2011 Frederic Chopin Piano Competition, held at the Blessed Virgin Mary of Czestochowa Church in Colonie. This was J.T.'s first competition ever, which makes his accomplishment that much more exciting. The Chopin Competition website lists the Winner and Runner up in the three age categories: Young (8-11), Apprentice (12-14), and Master (15-19). This was the Competition's 10th Anniversary year.
